Here are the top mobile game downloads from last month, according to
Appmagic
data.
Appmagic’s estimates do not include numbers from China’s fractured Android market. There’s also commentary on September’s most notable trends from the top 20 and beyond below.
In between these monthly updates, you can also keep tabs on
Appmagic’s top grossing and top downloads charts here
.
Free Fire Max
’s Naruto crossover has kept the momentum going for Garena’s battle royale. It posted yet another month in which it generated
around 22m installs, which is roughly the same as it has been posted since March.
It’s a second straight month of slight download decline for
Roblox
, though, which is down again after hitting nearly 23m installs in July. It’s down to just over 20m downloads for September, and is dwarfed by last summer’s numbers; it was hitting about 35m downloads per month in July and August 2025, but didn’t get close to those numbers this year.
Hungry Studio’s
Block Blast
posted its third straight month in the ~15m installs range, but the big new entry for September is Lumi Games’
Bus Fever Party
, which leapt up the charts 141 places month-on-month to reach nearly 13m installs in September. It seems to have usurped previous bus-puzzler
Bus Traffic Fever
in the charts, which was in August’s top ten listings but dropped a whopping 23 places in September.
Subway Surfers
is back down to about 12m monthly installs after a spike in August, while Grand Games’ newbie in the top ten,
Block Out
, drops from nearly 14m downloads in August to just under 12m for September.
Learnings’
Meowdoku
is back in the top ten with 11.5m downloads, its best-ever month of downloads. As rumours of
cloning swirl around Oakever Games
, it’s perhaps worth noting that Meowdoku is itself apparently inspired by that
Queens game on LinkedIn.
Another title that looks rather similar to another hit game is Ivy Mobile’s
Color Block
, which is up 12 places month-on-month to hit ninth spot in September. A peek at Ivy Mobile’s catalogue tells us it’s a company not afraid to take inspiration from others; it also makes homages to Arrows, Pixel Flow and Magic Sort.
The game’s product page also shows that it has cycled through a few different names and styles since its initial launch in 2024, from Block Puzzle Bricks through to its current moniker, Color Block.
Miniclip’s
Arrows
game is fading after hitting nearly 20m installs in July. It’s down again to just over 10m installs for September, and may have been damaged by the flurry of similar titles it has inspired in the last few months.
